Motor Mount Engines have a natural tendency to torque sideways during acceleration. Motor mounts help to keep the engine in place. The rubber inside the mount keeps you from feeling the shaking of the motor.
A worn engine mount will cause the drivetrain to shift when accelerating and you will feel a vibration deep within the car. If you feel these symptoms or see the engine rock from side to side under acceleration (assuming you're outside looking at the engine), chances are, you need to replace your motor mount.
The same motor mount is used for Boxster and Boxster S.
